El Noa Noa
On a street corner on the east side of Gràcia we find El Noa Noa. This is a charming coffee shop full of warm colors, fun illustrations, creative magazines and an LGTBIQ+ library. It’s coffee-to-go with a small ground-seating area at the front to enjoy the Barcelona sun and lively neighbourhood. The baristas are always friendly, welcoming and make a great coffee.
The specialty coffee here is expertly made (roasted by Barcelona based Nomad Coffee) and there’s a broad selection on the menu including chai, matcha and cold brew. The espresso, dirty chai and iced latte are especially good.
Slowmov
They recently moved to a new location and the café is bright, modern and spacious. Inside there’s plenty of room to read, talk with friends or work. There’s a pretty Espresso bar at the front to drink your coffee and enjoy the ambience of the street and the café at the same time. Slowmov are Barcelona based roasters so you’ll find a nice selection of high quality coffees from around the world.
The coffee here is some of the best in Barcelona. The old café was very popular and often had a queue going around the block at any time of day. Whether it’s a simple espresso, latte or cold brew the baristas here care about the coffee they make and it shows.
Sitio
Located at the top of Gràcia in a quieter part of this beautiful neighbourhood. This compact space is easy to miss when walking by except for the beautiful espresso machine in the window. We could say it’s coffee to-go, however there’s space inside to sit and talk with friends or the barista. Sitio is more than a coffee shop. A modern concept this is a space for sustainable fashion, design, conversation and of course excellent coffee. The space is also home to a group of fashion designers who have their collections on show. In the evening they often host events, so make sure to follow them on Instagram @somossitio.
The coffee here is from Jaleo Coffee Roasters, a Barcelona based roaster. We usually take a cortado (coffee with a drop of milk) and they have everything else you would expect from a good coffee shop including oat milk for non-dairy.
