We love this café in Cabanyal because it's a welcoming, high-energy space that fits the neighborhood perfectly. They keep things interesting by rotating different roasters from around the world, so the coffee selection is always changing. It's a very popular spot for the digital work crowd, and you'll usually find the inside full of people on laptops during the week. We've used the front terrace as our "office on the go" quite a few times already; it's one of our favorite places to get some work done outside with a high-quality coffee. Whether you're heading to the port or just exploring the Cabanyal area, it's well worth a stop.
Tallat is an essential specialty coffee roaster and café located in the El Cabanyal neighborhood. Originally starting as a mobile coffee setup, they have established a permanent, minimalist space on Calle Barraca. The name "Tallat" is the Valencian word for a cortado, signaling their bridge between local tradition and modern specialty standards. As a dedicated micro-roaster, they roast in small batches to ensure clarity and balance in every cup. They offer a diverse range of beans for espresso and pour-over, and they are known for using a high-end reverse osmosis water system to ensure the cleanest possible extraction. During the summer, they feature unique specials like their Valencian orange-inspired coffee soda. The café is situated on a charming street lined with century-old buildings and original tiled facades. While the interior is calm and relaxed, the small sunny terrace at the front is the best spot to enjoy the sea breeze while people-watching.
